Vintage

I'm in love with anything vintage. I buy most of my clothes from Modcloth, the newest vintage I can get my hands on, but recently I found another source for my love of this type of clothing. My mom! Okay, that sounds really lame, but seriously, all the clothes she still has are vintage, and some (definitely not all) are pretty cute. I found a gray sweatshirt with Disney's Mickey Mouse on it, and I swear like a month after I started wearing it, I saw everything Mickey Mouse related at Forever 21. Coincidence? Just kidding, but seriously, you have to wonder. The same thing happened when I wore a maxi rose skirt to a concert. Suddenly it showed up at Forever 21, maybe I have a stalker. Yeah, probably not. Anyways, going back to my original topic: my mother's now vintage collection of clothes. So my mom gave me this burgundy crop top, with a sheer black lace over it. She also has a Betsey Johnson skirt and I paired it together with Modcloth's Dance Instead of Walking Oxford Heels (pictured below) and I had THE cutest outfit. It was great! Let this be a lesson, sometimes your mother's clothes may just be absolutely amazing for your modern yet vintage outfit of the day. I just adore vintage. I also bought a dress pattern from the store for a 1960's dress. I'm making it in a teal and it looks awesome! At least the skirt part does, since that's all I've finished so far. Look below for some pictures!
